Terms & Conditions

Rules of the road.

Fair terms for a fair service. No surprises, no hidden clauses — just the agreement that governs how you use RigSense.

Plain language · No legalese traps · Your rights preserved
Section 1

Acceptance of Terms

RigSense is operated by Topo Intel LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Topo Intel," "we," "us," "our"). By downloading, installing, or using RigSense (the "App"), you agree to be bound by this End User License Agreement ("EULA") between you and Topo Intel LLC. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

Section 2

License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any Apple device you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Section 3

Subscriptions & Purchases

RigSense offers optional in-app subscriptions:

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. No refunds for partial billing periods. Payment is processed by Apple — RigSense never sees your payment card data.

Section 4

User Accounts

You may create an account via Apple Sign-In, email/password, or magic link. You may also use the App in Guest Mode with limited functionality. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Section 5

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any regulations
  • Submit false or misleading community data (spot reviews, signal reports, road conditions, water quality readings)
  • Attempt to access other users' data or interfere with App services
  • Use automated systems to scrape, collect, or harvest data from the App
  • Abuse convoy features to track other users without their consent
Section 6

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.

We do not guarantee:

  • Accuracy of solar calculations, weather forecasts, or resource estimates
  • Reliability of BLE sensor readings or cloud API integrations
  • Accuracy of campground data, road conditions, land boundaries, or water quality data
  • Accuracy of route feasibility, terrain capability, or duration calculations
  • Accuracy of air quality, insect pressure, or occupancy estimates
  • Continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operation

Resource estimates, boondocking duration calculations, route feasibility assessments, and location insights are advisory only. Always verify conditions independently, especially for safety-critical decisions.

Section 7

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or data loss. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Section 8

Hardware Integrations

RigSense integrates with third-party hardware via BLE, local network, and cloud APIs. Supported integrations include Victron Energy, Renogy, EcoFlow, Peplink, Mopeka, Ruuvi, Epoch Batteries, SOK Batteries, SeeLevel II, Micro-Air EasyTouch, and generic BLE TPMS sensors.

We are not affiliated with these manufacturers and make no guarantees about their products. Hardware integrations depend on manufacturer API availability and may change without notice.

Section 9

Community Data

Community-contributed data — spot reviews, signal reports, road condition reports, water quality readings, GPS approach traces, campsite photos, and occupancy observations — is user-generated and not independently verified. Use community data at your own discretion. We reserve the right to remove content that violates community guidelines.

GPS traces shared with the community are anonymized and attributed to rig type only. Your home location is automatically protected by trimming traces within 1 mile of your home base.

Section 10

Weather & Safety Alerts

Weather alerts are sourced from the National Weather Service, EPA AirNow, and NOAA. These are informational and should not be your sole source of weather or air quality information.

Critical alerts that bypass Do Not Disturb are used only for life-safety situations: severe weather evacuations, rapid tire pressure loss, pet safety temperature alerts, convoy emergency signals, and propane leak indicators. Always monitor official sources during severe weather.

Section 11

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Sensor data stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what data we collect, how it's used, and your rights.

Section 12

Convoys & Group Travel

Convoy features enable voluntary, real-time data sharing between members of a travel group. All sharing is opt-in at the field level — joining a convoy does not automatically share any data. Location sharing, resource status, and other data types each require separate, explicit consent.

Convoy data is ephemeral. No location history, movement patterns, or sharing history is stored on our servers or in any database. Leaving a convoy immediately stops all sharing and purges your data from other members' devices.

Section 13

Background Location & GPS Traces

Background location is used for GPS trace recording (off by default), pet safety monitoring, and camp history tracking. Each requires separate, explicit consent. GPS traces may be shared with the community in anonymized form to improve approach road data for other users. You choose what to share at the completion of each trace.

Section 14

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for violation of these terms. You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings screen. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

Section 15

Changes to This Agreement

We may update this EULA from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Section 16

Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this agreement shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Kendall County, Texas.

Section 17
